Aren't sure what service you're looking for? See below for our detailed descriptions of our color services. We require consultations for color corrections, extensions, fashion shades or any creative color sessions. We do this so that we can book adequate time for your service.
Base Recharge: Color application to the regrowth area (first few inches of hair growing from the scalp) to refresh color and/or cover grey hairs.
Highlights: Highlights lighten hair with strands of a lighter color while leaving behind a decided amount of natural dimension depending on the desired effect.
Lowlights: Lowlights add dimension with strands of darker color. You can ask your stylist to add to your hair by itself or alongside highlights which can give the illusion of volume, depth, and texture.
Full highlights vs half or partial: A full highlight application is applied to all areas of the hair, whereas a half highlight is typically applied just to the top and sides of the head. A partial is just a very small amount (usually 4-6 foils/papers) to add a pop of brightness/dimension.
Balayage: Balayage is a French word that means “to sweep.” In this hair color technique, highlights are hand-painted or “swept” on the surface of carefully selected sections of hair to mimic natural, sun-kissed brightness.
Toner: Glaze, gloss, and toner are all basically the same thing, but used for different effects. “Toner” is an older term for a process that was simply used to counter-act unwanted hues (Like when used after highlights to neutralize unwanted warm/brassy tones.) It can be used to refresh or darken/deepen color. And in all cases, it repairs the lipids within the hair structure and seals down the cuticle to create a healthy, shiny feel and appearance. We recommend adding a toner to all color services to seal/lock in the new color and add beautiful shine and luminosity to the hair. It can also be added to any haircut service for the same purposes.
Extensions: We offer Babe hair extensions which are hand-crafted, ethically sourced, 100% human remy hair in both tape-in and clip-in options. Hair extension appointments require a consultation, to determine many factors like color, length, volume, etc. Your stylist will go over all of your options and pricing, as well as a customized, professional recommendation to fit your hair goals.
Smoothing treatment: We offer the Thermafuse Amino Fusion Smoothing Treatment. It was developed specifically for clients who regularly wear their hair in smooth, straight styles. This may also be for someone who is struggling with unwanted volume and frizz, but wants to still wear their hair curly. Depending on the strength and application of the product, the treatment can be used for manageability and control, and/or for dramatically reduced curl pattern. Results vary depending on home care and hair type, ranging from 3-6 months. A consultation may be necessary to determine appointment timing.
Corrective Color: Sometimes people try their luck at home or have a color service done that went wrong. Or, they've decided they're ready for something (drastically) new like going from black to blonde. These types of color services fall under the category of "color correction". A professional consultation is very important to determine if the goals are attainable, and to discuss how many appointments and steps may be necessary. A priority is also to keep the hair in optimum condition which may require treatments like Olaplex or K18 to ensure protection from breakage/damage.
Consultation: A consultation is a 15 minute, complimentary (that means free!) meeting set up between you and a stylist to discuss your goals/concerns and properly set you up with an appointment at a later date/time.
